(Update 10/8/2018) AOPA did indeed come to Alabama and the Ninety-Nines made a showing. The Alabama Ninety-Nines joined the Emerald Angels of the Gulf Coast Chapter to run the International Ninety-Nine booth at the 2018 Gulf Shore AOPA Fly-In on October 5-6, 2018. We had over 50 ladies sign up for more information with one student pilot signing up as a new Ninety-Nine in the Emerald Angels Chapter. It’s always nice to get together with our other Chapters for a common goal.

2018 AOPA FlyIn Coming to Alabama

(Posted 08/24/2018) AOPA’s Fly-Ins provide a special opportunity for AOPA Pilots to feel welcomed, relaxed, and connected with other pilots and enthusiasts. Whether you’re an aircraft owner, an experienced pilot, rusty pilot, a new pilot, student pilot, or just plain crazy about airplanes, an AOPA Fly-In has something for you. The Gulf Shore AOPA Fly-In is October 5 – 7 at Jack Edward Airport in Gulf Shores.

The combined two days are loaded to maximum gross with workshops, the Barnstormers Party, seminars, exhibits, world-class presenters, lots of aircraft, technologies, products, and services to make your flying more enjoyable, practical, and safe.

The Ninety-Nines will be there! The Alabama Chapter along with the Emerald Angels of the Gulf Coast Chapter will be working a booth to tell all the visiting pilots about the Ninety-Nines. One of our members has opened their condo for us to hang out at and relax after spending time in the Alabama sun.
