Tinesha Ross, a native of Fairfield, Alabama, is a senior manager of General Procurement for Launch Operations and Production operations at United Launch Alliance (ULA). In this role, she leads the Supply Chain strategy and execution of small/mid/large commodities, purchases, and subcontracts focused primarily on optimal support of production and launch operations. With a passion and vision to enable customer and mission success, she develops supplier acquisition and delivery strategies and provides executive leadership delivering superior operational performance in support of Government and non-government launch programs.

Last year, Tinesha accepted a new position with ULA in Decatur which brought her back to her home state from Denver where she lived for 12 years. She started her career in aerospace engineering testing rockets in Decatur but now has returned as a senior leader at ULA. During her career, she has participated in numerous launches including the Mars rovers. “Every single launch is important to me,” Tinesha says, “whether it’s a satellite to protect our troops, provide music, or even make Zoom meetings possible.”

Tinesha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and technology from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Science degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from American Continental University. She is also a 1995 Graduate of Fairfield High School. While at Alabama A&M, she was a member of the Marching Maroon and White Band, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She has a son, Chris, who is an extremely talented percussionist and a junior at the University of Northern Colorado.

The Alabama 99s and the Zontas of Birmingham are so excited and honored to have Tinesha as our speaker this year. Of course, we couldn’t do this event without the kindness of the Southern Museum of Flight.
